Our journey from 2004 - 2013

Spring Rains Developments launched in January 2004 committed to coming along side NGO’s serving in the developing world  and funding some of their "hoped-for" projects that would advance their aspirations for the people they were serving.  

At the start the projects were diverse given we essentially funded any worthy need presented to us.  This approach took us around the globe including Peru, Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Uganda and Indonesia.  

In this latter case we funded a drip irrigation endeavour on the island of Lombok.  This experience coupled with other post-project debriefings and  circumstance modifications resulted in us gradually tapering our focus down until we finally settled on only funding:

• Food Security through the expansion of organic vegetable farming and poultry husbandry.
• Water Security through the expansion of rain water harvesting infrastructure.

In 2014 we accepted Bopoma Village Canada's invitation partner in their community development project in the Zaka Region of Zimbabwe
